We often think of our bodies in terms of cells and genes, but they are also complex mechanical structures.
This project presents the significance of understanding our bodies as a mechanical system alongside genetics.

CHARACTER
DESIGN
To keep things simple and straightforward, we have one main character to lead the whole journey. Sophie is a doctor who does daily workouts in a gym. And from her routines we see how human body works.

LITTLE STRAIN & CELL
They are also the main characters in the animation that present how the mechanics work in our bodies.
This is already a very complicated topic.
In order not to bore everyone to hell, I decided to give them a funny (or silly?) looks.
I hope they will keep the audiences in front of their screens.

Storyboard
COLOUR
PALETTE
We chosen some vibrant colours to give the topic a young and freshing look.

OUTDOOR
// White and dark blue
In this animation, we travel through different sceneries.
Colours are used to make the differentiation.

BODY STRUCTURE
Pink and Red are the main colours for the body parts.
From an Achilles tendon to our constantly pulsing blood vessels,
they’re feats of meticulous engineering.
We used gym as a metaphor
to show the idea that human bodies are constant working and self-repairing.
